CWRR members at IWA conference 2018 in Valencia
The 16th IWA International Conference on Wetland Systems for Water Pollution Control (ICWS2018) was held in Valencia from September 30th – October 4th, 2018. The conference was organised by the Research Institute of Water and Environment at Technical University of Valencia, Spain.
The 16th IWA International Conference Wetland Systems for Water Pollution Control follows the tradition of biennial meetings of theoreticians, engineers and practitioners working on treatment wetlands. A special emphasis will be done, linking wetlands systems – pollution control – biodiversity. Spain is the UE-28 country richer in biodiversity with many Natura 2000, several natural wetlands in high risk with more and more water scarcity because the global change. The conference is an opportunity to bring together experiences in treatment wetlands for water reuse in small communities.
Cheng Tang made an oral presentation on part of his Ph.D. research:
- Optimizing configuration of microbial fuel cell in pilot-scale up flow constructed Wetland
Dr Yaqian Zhao contributed an oral presentations as following:
- R&D of using dewatered alum sludge cakes as substrate in constructed wetlands: Looking back and moving forward based on last 10 years’ experience
Dr Yaqian Zhao also contributed a poster with title:
- Modular constructed wetland: from concept to embodiment
