
About Dr Md Salauddin
Dr Md Salauddin is an Assistant Professor in the School of Civil Engineering, where his teaching and research focus is Water and Environmental Engineering, but particularly in Coastal Engineering. He held research positions at the University of Warwick and at the University College Dublin on research projects funded by the European Regional Development Fund before he joined the School of Civil Engineering as an Assistant Professor in 2020. He also worked as a Faculty Member at the Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology, where he was engaged in teaching and research activities in hydraulics and water engineering. His research interests include the physical and numerical modelling of wave structure interactions at sea defences, extreme wave overtopping hazards, coastal erosion, stability of breakwater, nature-based coastal protections, coastal retrofitting, and climate change adaptation to sea level rise through the design of ecologically enhanced sea defences.
